My Perfect Road Trip... |
|
| > Macy and I decided to give ourselves a treat after being hired in our dream jobs at an advertising agency. So, before we get to start living the life we have always wanted, we decided to get into a perfect weekend travel to Fort Lauderdale. Luckily, my dad allowed us to borrow his car so we can have the most fabulous, “certified BFFS- road trip”! We reached Fort Lauderdale early after a good 20 minutes of drive from where we come from. And so, we decided to grab a bite at The Original Pancake House at 2851 N. Federal Highway. It was just south of Oakland Boulevard. There, we made sure to indulge in a full meal so we could get as much fun for the day with our stomachs full. It was of course the traditional breakfast, but hey, I did not complain because it was so good and satisfying. A quick five- minute drive after having our stomachs full with our plates of apple pancakes and Macy's strawberry French toast, we headed south to get to East Sunrise Boulevard. It was like being welcomed by mother in a huge hug, we both smiled at the sight of The Galleria Mall. It was a huge shopping mall and I know I didn't regret a thing. The parking space was not that much of a hassle and so we got our hands and heels ready to walk the entire mall. We were wearing our big glasses and we were sporting our nice new dresses so we kinda felt like the Olsen twins on their Hollywood shopping sprees. And there, we got a hold of so many items since it has almost anything and everything we can think of. After a long afternoon of shopping and sight seeing, we then had an instant craving for some Chinese cuisine, so we went to P. F. Chang's China Bistro. It was very near from where we got all those bags of goods so we did not have a really hard time. We chose that package for two and we were there salivating on our four- course meal. I loved the Chinese Spicy chicken. It was so yummy. Ending that full dinner, we went to have some Kahuna 'Awa Kava Bar it was just a couple of feet away at 3104 N.E. of 9th Street. We discovered that Kava is a relaxing drink from the South Pacific so we decided to give it a try. The place was nice and vibrant but relaxing. It was the ultimate relaxing end to our long day before heading home. |
