Annual Wine and Culinary Celebration
The Annual Wine and Culinary Celebration is one of the city’s most prestigious events and was named as one of the “10 Best Annual Fort Lauderdale Events” in 2007 by Gold Coast Magazine. The Annual Wine and Culinary Celebration features a progressive sequence of wine and food pairings that should educate, entertain, and above all, satisfy guests. The event also features 30 of South Florida’s top restaurants plus over 200 wines and spirits from all over the world, a silent auction and complimentary Riedel Wine Glass for all the guests.
Fleet Week
Fleet Week is a US Navy, US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard tradition wherein active ships recently deployed in overseas operations dock in several major cities for one week. While the crews visit a city’s tourist attractions, the public can enjoy guided tours of the ships at certain hours. This event usually features military demonstrations and airshows.

The Fort Lauderdale Annual International Boat Show boasts of over $3 billion dollars worth of boats, yachts, electronics, engines and boating accessories from top boat manufacturers all over the world. The event takes place at various venues in Fort Lauderdale and is connected by the show’s transportation network of water taxis, riverboats and bus shuttles. Annual Billfish Tournament
Fans of fishing will enjoy the Annual Fort Lauderdale Billfish Tournament. The tournament has been exciting anglers since 1965. This year, the tournament format has been changed from a 3-day event to a 1-day tournament, and is being expanded to three inlets, allowing more local anglers to participate; and while the target species is Sailfish, there are additional divisions that include Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, and Kingfish.
Annual Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade
The Annual Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade has been thrilling locals and tourists alike for 38 years. The Parade has been named as one of the “Top 20 Parades in the World” by USA Today. The event showcases a spectacular display of lights and color as thousands of brightly illuminated ships make their way from Downtown Fort Lauderdale on the New River to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach.
