When you think of Florida you think of sunshine, palm trees and beaches. With Fort Lauderdale you get that and much, much more. Also known as "Venice of America," Fort Lauderdale is a thriving beach city with more things than you could possibly do or see in just one visit.
"The Venice of America" name is derived from its intricate canal and intracoastal waterways. To easily get to your favorite destination, take a cruise on a Water taxi or the Jungle Queen. You can even charter your own boat to cruise on or go deep-sea fishing. Many people enjoy sitting at a waterside cafe or restaurant and watching the boat traffic, or even taking a stroll over one of the many bridges and pausing at the top to watch, which also makes for a great photo opportunity.

There are thousands of hotels and restaurants in the Fort Lauderdale Metro area for you to choose from while you are visiting, for people on a budget or going all out. Anything you need you can find in this gorgeous city. Fort Lauderdale is accessible by plane, train, boat and automobile, so getting there is a snap. Take a look at our favorite hot spots:
